I read another article about vitamins the other day. (I was thinking about the fact that we don't get enough vitamin D because we're not supposed to be out in the sun, and vitamin D helps prevent cancer, while the sun helps cause it.) This one was in Scientific American. It was an article addressing the question of whether the average person needs vitamins. Their opinion was that they were mostly unnecessary, and some tended to cause problems, but a basic multivitamin (formulated for your gender, I suppose) probably wouldn't hurt. But, we should all probably be taking Vitamin D to make up for the sun-worshiping that we shouldn't do; and if we're over 50, we should be taking Vitamin B12 because we can't absorb it like we used to. So, that's my Melman Moment for today. (Melman was the tall hypochondriac in the movie Madagascar.)
